About
Hi, I'm Pramukh.
I'm interested in solving problems related to social impact and improving how we interact with the world.
What I care about
I've always been an analytical person, which is what initially drew me to data science. But more than that, I'm interested in how we can leverage new technology to improve our lives and raise our standard of living, especially in ways that create meaningful, positive impact.
What I've worked on
How technology can hypothetically influence election outcomes, analyses of the Hispanic population in Colorado, the state of air quality across the U.S., and a platform that aggregates open election positions by county for communities and local governments.

I started college studying data science, initially drawn to the analytical side of understanding the world. Over time though, I wanted a more human view of the systems behind the numbers, which led me toward economics and questions surrounding policy, behavior, and social impact. Afterward, I developed a strong interest in philosophy, which eventually became my favorite subject. I was drawn to the different perspectives it offered and the way it encouraged deeper reflection about the world and human experience. More than anything, it taught me that life is too complex to be understood through theoretical models or rigid systems.
After graduating from UCSB, I joined AmeriCorps Forest Corps, where I spent months doing physically demanding fieldwork including chainsaw operations, invasive species removal, land regeneration surveys, tree marking, and environmental restoration projects. This experience pulled me out of technical environments and placed me into situations that were directly involved with the physical world.
Now, I will be attending NYU Tandon for my master's degree in Urban Data Science. I see myself still in the process of understanding what genuinely motivates me, and I see this next chapter as an opportunity to continue exploring that with greater intention.
Outside of work
I enjoy reading and writing, and I regularly turn my notes into articles and share them on Medium.
Read on Medium →In my free time, I like to watch anime. My all-time favorite is Dr. Stone, and right now I'm watching The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. I'm also a fan of video games, especially the Kingdom Rush, Epic Battle Fantasy series, and The Battle Cats.
